About Us
Our group is part of the Department of Physics, within the Nano and Biophysics division at Chalmers University of Technology. We investigate fundamental and quantum optical aspects of light–matter interactions, while also aiming at practical applications in areas such as surface-enhanced spectroscopies and nanoscale sensing.
Our strength is a combination of advanced experimental facilities and expertise that allow us to perform measurements down to the single nanoparticle and even single-molecule level. Our recent activities include studying polaritons in nanostructured and layered materials, developing nanophotonics with transition metal dichalcogenides, and exploring self-assembled optical microcavities in liquids.
We are always looking for motivated Master’s students, PhD candidates, and postdocs to join our team.
Beyond research, we value spending time together as a team. We celebrate each new publication and the personal achievements of our members, and twice a year we organize our Group Kick-off — a day to reflect, plan ahead, and enjoy good company outside the lab.
Our latest kick-off took place at the Chalmers Sports Cabin by Lake Sandsjön.
